Description
"Tenderfoot Lane Mory had just arrived in town, and he was thinking the three other men on the stage might be able to help him get settled into his new life. Judson C. Falk was a Chicago attorney for the creditors of the OK cattle ranch and might be able to land him a job there. The other two men were old cowboys who seemed to know everybody and everything about the Spanish Sinks region. When Mory comes to the aid of a young woman being accosted by a drunken cowboy, she tells him he can forget working for the OK because the man he just beat up is the OK foreman. Then she offers him a job. "It's all work and no pay, with maybe a little fighting now and then," Rose Randall of the Lazy R told Mory when she engaged him to work on her ranch. Mory had rather figured on going to the OK, which he had inherited from his grandfather. But it didn't take him long to discover that his rightful property had become a rendezvous for border scum and the center of rustling activities. So he concealed his identity and teamed up with Rose to carry on from the outside a range war to protect his spread."--,Provided by publisher.
