    [synopsis] => Jean Shelby, a Confederate sympathizer in Missouri during the Civil War, turns outlaw to avenge herself on a renegade Indian who killed her brother. However, when she falls in love with a captured Union soldier, her plans and loyalties are tested.

Jean a southern sympathizer passes information to her brother who helps the confederacy. The Union members have placed a bounty on her brother's head and are chased by their enemies. Jean is devastated when her brother is killed, and she vows to avenge him. One day, when a Union Soldier is captures. She is initially planning to kill him, but then is drawn to his charm and intelligence. They begin to fall in love, but their relationship is complicated by their opposing loyalties as she is determined to hurt those who hurt her.
